7 Days Workshop, 23 – 29 August 2026
Details – What’s included
Art classes are held for 6 hours per day with morning and afternoon classes. Including demonstrations, exercises and lectures:
- 30 hours tutoring / 5 days art classes / 6 hours per day
- 1 day excursion tour by bus or boat trip round Kefalonia Island or Ithaca.

- “Diving into the Artist’s Mind”: This evening session, held on the studio veranda in an open-air cinema setting, invites participants to explore the role of landscape as both subject and stimulus in the work of master painters throughout art history. Through projected images, we will examine a curated selection of paintings—ranging from representational to abstract—and analyse how artists have interpreted the natural world across time.
- 1 complimentary welcome dinner upon arrival, coffee, snacks and a farewell evening party with Greek wines and local products.
- Exhibition of the art works produced during the workshop with the farewell evening party.
- Signed Certificate of Attendance stating the skills you earned having followed the workshop.
- Free Wifi facilities.
For participants traveling to Kefalonia from abroad or other places we recommend that they arrive by 16:00 at the latest. This way, you’ll have plenty of time to unwind and settle in before we begin our inspiring first painting session at 18:00.
Underage participants are accepted if they are accompanied by a family member or guardian or if the permission documents for participation in the workshop are given to us.
Artists partners who don’t paint, but would love to join us, are welcome. With a small fee they can join the groups activiies such as the one day excursion, the lecture “Diving into the Artist’s Mind”, the provided dinner and relax at the beautiful MetaxArt garden. Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the fees and has to be booked and paid directly with the hotels. We ‘re fortunate to collaborate with several lovely, family-run hotels in Poros Village, all within walking distance of MetaxArt Studio. They’re known for their comfort and cleanliness, offering either ensuite rooms with breakfast or studios with small kitchens.
